Here we have an example of playing a bass-line with the left-hand while playing chords with the right-hand. The chords are simple diatonic tones, thirds and sevenths, which are played on beats one and three. The left hand is a bit more complex due to the syncopation, but if you practice each independently and slowly bring them together you should find it's not too difficult to play. As always, try practicing with a metronome to keep the time honest.
A bebop line which works over dominant chords such as in a Major key. I've written out the line in all twelve keys and with different fingering variations, however feel free to learn your own fingerings and play freely. The idea here is to memorize the line and to be able to play it over any V7 chord smoothly. This is part of a vocabulary building series.
